Eastside Players Succeed At State
The Eastside Players advanced to the State level of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech and Dramatic Arts Festival which took place this past weekend. ESP took their production of Snappy's Happy Half-Hour to UW-Green Bay, and the students and the production received the following awards:

  • Critic's Choice (the highest award given at the festival)
  • Outstanding Ensemble
  • Outstanding Technical Theatre
  • Outstanding Directing
  • Outstanding Actor: Liliana Baker (as Gladys, the salty veteran camera person)
  • Outstanding Actor: Zavier Alexander (as Tony, the hopelessly positive director of the television show)

"I am so proud of how these students committed to this production and the process, and their work was appropriately recognized (although I am certainly biased) by 4 adjudicators from Universities and the professional theatre community," said Producer and Director, Paul Milisch, East Theatre teacher.
