THE FOUNDATION | December 2025

Share Hope with Students!

This holiday season, you can share hope with students by donating to support programs that help ensure each student’s unique needs are met to be successful in the classroom.

Your support helps us start the year by distributing 3,500 backpacks filled with new supplies to students on the Free & Reduced Meal program. Throughout the year, your donations fund hands-on classroom grants such creating a school garden or purchasing equipment for a robotics club. In the spring, high school seniors can apply for one of 54 college and trade school scholarships funded by donations to the Foundation.

Make an impact today by donating here! All donations stay in Seminole County, and 90% of the funding goes directly to programs for students and staff in SCPS.

Thank you for your support and happy holidays!

The Father's Table Supports Midway Safe Harbor

Thank you to The Father's Table Foundation for awarding a $20,000 grant to support the Teen Program at Midway Safe Harbor.

The Teen Program is a free program dedicated to serving students in grades 6-12 who live in low-income neighborhoods and may be at risk of academic and / or behavioral challenges. Midway Safe Harbor provides a safe and supportive environment where these youth can receive direct academic support to improve their achievement, while also engaging in personal enrichment opportunities based on their interests.

This grant directly strengthens the ability to empower those teens with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to succeed in school.

AdventHealth Presents Optics Bus

The Physics Bus Program is an initiative to provide hands-on STEM experiences for elementary students across Seminole County Public Schools. This innovative program features three busses, each focusing on a specific area of physics: Mechanics, Optics, and Electricity.

Community partner, AdventHealth, has once again partnered with the Foundation and SCPS to support the Optics bus for the next three years as the Presenting Sponsor! This investment shows their commitment to education and bringing these hands-on learning experiences to our students.

“AdventHealth is honored to grow our partnership with Seminole County Public Schools and the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools. By opening doors for students to explore STEM, we’re helping them see what’s possible and imagine a future in caring for others. Today’s investment supports tomorrow’s physicians, nurses, clinicians and health care leaders — young people who may one day help our communities feel whole.”

Nicole Crocker, chief nursing officer at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs

Congratulations to our Employee of the Year!

On Friday, November 14th, 2025 Seminole County Public Schools held its annual Employee of the Year Celebration to honor the support staff that work behind the scenes to keep our A-rated school districted going strong!

The Foundation is happy to support this event and help provide these employees with a memorable experience with their peers, family, friends, and SCPS leadership. We're thankful to have VyStar Credit Union join us once again this year as the Presenting Sponsor.

“At VyStar Credit Union, our purpose is to Do Good, and that starts with showing up for the people who make learning possible every day. We’re honored to serve as the presenting sponsor of the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools Employee of the Year Awards and to celebrate the dedicated professionals who make student success possible in and beyond the classroom.”

Congratulations to Carole Moore at the Educational Support Center for being the SCPS 2025 Employee of the Year!

Thank you Universal Orlando Foundation for the $12,000 art grant supporting our Tools 4 Seminole Schools and Grants for Great Ideas programs!

This generous funding titled "Supporting Arts Enrichment for Undeserved Students", will help bring exciting, hands-on art lessons to Seminole County Public Schools students throughout the district.

In November, our Grants for Great Ideas Committee awarded and delivered checks for 21 projects in Cycle II for a total of $25,370.66!

This program provides funding for teachers to create memorable hands-on learning experiences in their classrooms. From salad and pizza gardens to building solar panels to immersive experiences, the possibilities are endless and we're always excited to see what our teachers come up with.
