ATLANTA –

On the cusp of her 80th birthday, undauntable Melba Moore is at her peak of expression and memorable performances. As she affirms the healing attributes of music as a powerful medium for communicating to the human soul, and to global humanity, the World Human Rights Network stands ready to honor her in Atlanta next Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025. Her contribution, Chairman Al Bartell affirms, has inspired the inaugural “Woman of Life” Human Rights Award.

“Dare we,” queries Bartell, “acknowledge the right to be a woman by establishing a world human rights ‘Woman of Life’ award? No matter what adversity she has faced, Ms. Melba Moore has faced it as a woman, expressed in the vulnerability and undauntable strength of her womanhood. She has given of her life, giving life to others. We see her ‘Woman of Life’ essence as a world class human rights expression.

“The World Human Rights Network has a 21st century commitment to bring peace that dismantles the framework of violence. We are committed to creating Communication as the ultimate contribution for the human experience of relationships. Ms. Melba Moore, with her ‘Woman of Life’ essence, has courageously stood for and delivered that healing communication of peace.”

"Visible personal milestones advance human rights recognition. If we reflect over the span of human history, achievements have often occurred from courageous thought and action. Often out of the enduring efforts of an inspiring human being. May this event renew us in our self-belief, and in our collective power to create and inspire human rights in America."
