| | | A Note from Bill and Sarah | | |
Dear Bishop Kelly Community,
As we wrap up the school year, we are excited to celebrate one of our favorite traditions on Tuesday, Field Day! This annual event is more than just games and sunshine. It's a day designated to build community, strengthen House pride, and give our students a joyful, memory-making experience with their classmates.
Students will have adjusted class schedules on Monday and Tuesday, with half of the day Tuesday designated for Field Day.
| | |
We kindly ask for your support in encouraging your student(s) to stay at school and participate fully in field day. When everyone is present, the day is more fun, competitive, and meaningful to the entire school. Every student plays a role, whether they're competing, cheering, leading, or supporting their classmates.
Your partnership helps us create a positive, inclusive event where students can celebrate the year together and finish as a community.
Thank you for all you do and for sharing your wonderful students with us. We're looking forward to an amazing Field Day!
God Bless and Go Knights!

Jenny Sternling and the Cast and Crew of Cinderella
Bishop Kelly Theatre Arts staged Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella for their spring performance this year. The musical was a joyful showcase of our many talented students who sang, danced, acted, created beautiful sets, lighting, and costumes, and put on a spectacular show. Mrs. Sternling did an excellent job producing and directing this fun play! Thank you to everyone involved for sharing your gifts with us.

JV Softball
Bishop Kelly's Junior Varsity Softball team worked hard this season, battling through tough competition. At the District Tournament they battled their way through the bracket to take second place! Way to go JV Softball!.

Class of 2026 Parents -
We want to be able to recognize our seniors for the merit awards they are receiving. These are historically part of the graduation program, so we need the information about all of the merit awards they are being offered from colleges and universities to be input into THIS GOOGLE FORM as soon as possible.
Seniors are receiving this information directly from the colleges and universities that they have been accepted to. Please ask them to help you gather this info and put it into the Google Form.
Thank you!

Parents,
As we near the end of another School Year, please login to your LINQ Connect Account and review your student's cafeteria account balance. We’ve noticed that a record number of accounts currently have high negative balances, and we appreciate your prompt attention to resolving them.
Thank you for helping ensure everything is up to date as we wrap up another successful School Year!

$2,000 MERIT BASED TUITION SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR A RISING SENIOR
The Redinger Family Scholarship is a financial award available through the Bishop Kelly Foundation to a rising senior in the Class of 2027 for a $2,000 scholarship to be used toward BK tuition. This scholarship was established by Jim and Vickie Redinger, long-time supporters of Bishop Kelly and parents of BK alums Mike (Class of ‘03) and Tom (Class of ‘05). Jim and Vickie wish to honor a student whose interests align with those areas that their sons found of particular value while they were at BK as well as later in their lives.
The recipient will be selected by the Redinger family after submitting an application that meets a specific list of criteria, including academics and athletics, with preference given to students who have exhibited leadership and STEM activities. To apply, complete THIS APPLICATION FORM by Friday, May 20th and submit it in a sealed envelope to the front office. Please clearly label the envelope "Bishop Kelly Foundation, attention Kim Malvick"

Gear Up for Game Day: BK Sports Physicals & Heart Screenings
Ensure your student-athlete is cleared and ready for the upcoming season! Bishop Kelly is proud to host our annual Sports Physical Event, offering a convenient and affordable way to meet your yearly requirement while supporting the BK Sports Medicine program. For only $30 your student athlete will receive their annual sports physical, and be ready to play next year!
Advanced Heart Health Screenings: This year, we are elevating our care. For athletes aged 14 and older, we are now the first and only high school in Idaho offering ECG screenings. In memory of BK Alumknight Mason Suboh-Meuret, '24, and with the hope that every student may have access to potentially life-saving heart screenings, BK was provided the opportunity to acquire four industry-leading ECG machines.
Sudden cardiac death is the leading cause of death in young athletes, often caused by conditions that a standard physical might miss. In states like Florida, they have taken steps to make ECG testing mandatory for high school athletes. While ECG testing is not mandatory in Idaho, here at BK we are taking the initiative to offer this additional testing. We are offering this screening for an additional $10.
Thanks to a generous donation, we have acquired four industry-leading ECG machines—the same technology used by professional and collegiate teams—boasting the lowest false-positive rates in the industry. Every ECG will be interpreted by our team cardiologist, with referrals provided if necessary.
