Sophia, a mother of one child, left an unhealthy relationship and looked to ELAWC for support last summer. With counseling and housing assistance, she found a path to safety and stability.
As the holidays rolled around, she knew there was no way she could purchase gifts for her two little ones. To her great surprise she received a call from ELAWC, her family was sponsored by a generous donor and gifts were coming her way. With much gratitude, she accepted the box of gifts, bringing much joy to her children, and a sense of peace to Sophia.
But the story doesn't end here. Today, Sophia is giving back to others, volunteering at ELAWC to give others the same love and support she received in a time of need.
