Staff Highlight: Get to know Amanda Ehlert!

This month we are celebrating the wide ranging work Amanda Ehlert, Early Childhood Specialist & Trainer, does to support child care providers and families in our community! Amanda is a member of our Training & Quality Improvement Services (TQIS) team, and she does SO many things at 4-C. You may have taken class with Amanda, attended a support group, or received her specialized coaching to strengthen your work!

A few quick questions with Amanda...

Q: How many years have you worked at 4-C? 12 years



Q: How many years have you been in the early childhood field? Almost 25 years!

Q: What's a fun fact about you? I have a pet turtle named Lola! She is more than 20 years old. 

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share? I feel incredibly lucky to be employed within a profession that supports the research and implementation of high-quality early care and education in this way.

Amanda loves to travel; check out her on a Grand Canyon hike! What a view!

Finding Support, Making Connections

Did you know? Amanda hosts two virtual monthly support groups for providers!

For Family Child Care Providers, the Vesta Support Group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.

For Sauk County Providers, the United Child Care Providers of Sauk County group meets on the fourth Monday of each month.

Here's just a few things coming up with Amanda:

• February 14: Leading the virtual training "Death Play in Early Childhood: Why do Children do it and what is our Role?" (Space is still available - register now!)
• February 20: Presenting at the Early Learning Connections conference (anyone can register for this FREE conference, and space is available - register today!)
• February 23: Hosting the United Child Care Providers of Sauk County support group online
• February 23-25: Presenting at the Head Start conference
• February 26: Hosting the Vesta Support Group online
• March 14: Training folks online on "Is It Just Play? Rethinking Guns, Swords, and Superheroes"
• March 16-18: Presenting at the Fulfilling the Promise conference

Thank you to everyone who completed your annual BIF!
