Get ready for Woodridge Clean-Up Day! This event takes place the first full week of October (October 7 through October 11, 2024). Customers of Groot’s single-family garbage collection service can dispose of an unlimited amount of refuse, including furniture, carpeting, bulky items, and just plain junk, on their regularly scheduled garbage collection day during this week. Please ensure all items are properly bundled, bagged, and prepared for pick-up as you would for any regular collection day. Note that building materials, railroad ties, tires, and hazardous waste are not included in this program. Additionally, electronic items (anything with a plug) are prohibited from landfills and cannot be picked up as part of the Clean-Up Day (Amnesty Day) program. Take advantage of this opportunity to declutter your space! | |
|
Groot received new 35-gallon refuse and recycling containers last Friday. This week and next, they will assist residents who requested smaller containers by facilitating size exchanges. If you requested a 35-gallon toter or registered for one but have not received it, please place your larger toter at the curb and ensure it is visible on your regular garbage collection days. If your larger toter is not out, Groot won’t be able to swap it out. For any billing issues, Groot will update your information, but please allow 2-3 business days for these changes to appear online.
For concerns regarding new toters, incorrect sizes, container size changes, or billing inquiries, residents should contact Groot directly at 888-485-0900 or via email at OLP3098@wasteconnections.com. Please include your name, phone number, address, and a brief description of your service issue.
