EXECUTION PHASE

Solar Panel Project at CRC

Construction is complete on all roofs for the Solar Panel Project at the Community Recreation Center! The project is now awaiting final testing and approval by ComEd. Project remains on schedule.

EXECUTION PHASE

Langdon Shoreline Project

The project's final phase. Siding is complete on the guard hut. Fence installation is underway to improve safety at the curve and slope.

Hibbard Park OSLAD Project

Fencing and backstop installation is in progress, and the base for the new pickleball courts has been laid and is in the curing process.

A D D I T I O N A L

U P D A T E S

NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTED - The Board approved an employment agreement with Chris Lindgren to serve as Executive Director beginning July 21, 2025, and officially appointed him as the IMRF Authorized Agent, replacing Margaret Resnick. Additionally, Lindgren was appointed as Secretary to the Board.

CRC RESTORATION UPDATE - Mitigation is complete; staff awaits construction quotes and insurance confirmation for reconstruction. Renovation expected to start late summer / early fall.

FINANCE UPDATE - The District reported a $4.7M year-to-date surplus, versus a $1.78M budgeted surplus. Revenues exceeded budget in most categories, particularly in fee-based programs and miscellaneous income. The Board reviewed the proposed 2026 Budget Calendar, with discussions beginning in August and final adoption planned for January 2026.

Monday, August 25 - at 6:30 p.m. at Mallinckrodt Center, 1041A Ridge Road (side entrance).
