Success Story
"I signed up for the last group of the 13 week Courage to Change session in order to better myself through Christ, Commitment, and well-being. I was significantly overweight and there was no real reason why I had let myself get that way other than I just didn’t look at the overall big picture of my health and how what I was doing wasn’t right. I knew I needed to do something and I had some ideas, but I never kept up the process when I was only doing this by myself. The group setting and encouragement not only for me to do well, but the encouragement for the entire group to do well and succeed was important for all of us.
The 1st week when we gave our weight, I weighed 292 lbs. and I am 6’ tall. Through the process, watching the types of food, how much food, and making sure that I drank enough water and none of the bad stuff for you, I ended up losing 48 total lbs. My weight when this session was over, was 242 lbs. I feel so much better not carrying that extra weight that I had accumulated over the past 15 years.
I learned that it takes a Commitment to change your habits and even through this, there are some days that I think, man I would really like to have that, but you can only do that one time a week. If you don’t stick committed to the plan, it can be easy to fall right back into the old pattern that you were in before and lose everything that you have gained from the program. I didn’t sign up for this to become a weight lifter and develop muscles, I just wanted a plan to help me learn how to exercise to get fit.
I have a better understanding of that process now and how important that Cardio is to the whole process of getting fit and being able to sustain energy when you are in a battle. I want to thank Brian for the dedication that he has to this Program and hope that he continues on training other individuals on the importance of getting healthy and promoting and fit. "
