1.) Fulcrum Foundation Early Childhood Education Fund Grant Application Open until March 2nd
On Wednesday, February 2nd the Fulcrum Foundation released the second annual Early Childhood Education Fund Grant Application. Founded in 2002, the Fulcrum Foundation leverages financial assistance to support and strengthen Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle primarily through tuition assistance, school partnerships, and transformational leader training. Dick and Sharon Abrams established the Fulcrum Early Childhood Education Fund to increase awareness of Fulcrum and encourage broader support for Early Learning and their growing endowment. You should have an individual email from me with all the details to apply for the grant that can result in an award of up to $2,000 to support your program. The grant application will be open for one month closing on Wednesday, March 2nd. Please reach out to me with any questions!
2.) Early Learning Virtual Professional Development Day: Evaluation Link
Thank you all for your participation at the Early Learning Virtual Professional Development Day. It was a great day of learning and I hope you all enjoyed it! Please see below link for an evaluation of the Professional Development Day. I will keep this link open until Friday.
3.) DCYF released message about $0 Premium Health Care Assistance for Employees of Licensed Program
DCYF released the following message this week. Please share with your staff teams to make sure they have access to this information and the opportunity.
This opportunity to access health insurance at no cost to eligible child care workers is available through 2022 and is administered by the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, in partnership with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and Yakima Neighborhood Health Services.
This benefit provides child care workers in DCYF licensed child care facilities new options for their health care coverage.
All employees of child care facilities are eligible to participate in the program and can sign up any time. Child care staff in centers, Family Homes, outdoor nature-based care, early learning childhood education, and assistance program staff are eligible to apply.
Please help share the following program information with people in your child care networks:
If you have questions, concerns, are unable to access or print the materials, or encounter barriers, email Sponsorship and Outreach Manager Genny Arredondo at genevieve.arredondo@wahbexchange.org.
Thank you and have a great week
