Calling All Members and Branches
October is the month members chose to launch TREATY-Themed Solidarity Actions. Anytime during this month, consider holding an event that asserts the efficacy of Diplomacy and Treaties. Organize advocacy actions. Demonstrate to raise visibility. Keep WILPF visible with signs, banners and your wearable WILPF sashes and buttons.

TOOLKIT for Organizing
All the resources you need to assemble an action are available in a TREATIES TOOLKIT. Whether you are a branch or an individual member, there are ideas for actions, talking points, sample letters to Congress, and a great Handout about Treaties. (contact mbgardam@gmail.com to customize the handout for your branch or community).

Member Forum
We'll be featuring YOU on our October ONE WILPF Call. Join the call to report on what you are planning as part of this effort, and consult with other members about how to make the actions successful. We're asking EVERY BRANCH to have a representative on the call on October 10th.

Feminist Treaty Expert Professor Susanne Zwingel
Professor Susanne Zwingel teaches Politics and International relations at Florida International University. She has written extensively about international feminist strategies as applied to human rights treaties such as CEDAW. Her book, Feminist Strategies in International Governance, speaks to the need for incorporating collaborative people-based planning into treaty design, and ensuring that all stakeholders have a voice in creating peace. Her presentation will inform and inspire our Treaty actions this month.
