October 8–12, 2025

This month marks a major moment for Houston’s favorite art-power couple, Hillerbrand+Magsamen. During my recent travels, I noticed their Higher Ground installation at Hobby Airport AND their 147 Devices for Integrated Principles artwork at IAH Terminal D. This Saturday, October 11, FotoFest is opening their 20-year retrospective Nothing Is Precious, Everything Is Game at Silver Street Studios. And, save the date for their live cinema performance at MFAH's Brown Auditorium Theater on Saturday, October 18.

Also happening this weekend, Bayou City Art Festival returns to Memorial Park (October 10–12) with hundreds of artists, live music, and food trucks in one of Houston’s most scenic outdoor settings—your perfect art-filled weekend escape. Be sure to go to the Houston Art Weeks 2025 booth to learn more about this year's inaugural series of events.

Plus, don’t miss the site-specific dance performance at the Moody Center for the Arts on Thursday, and a full slate of exhibition openings across the city—from BLOCK 10: Celebrating a Decade at MFAH Glassell School of Art to If You Have Ghosts: Apparitions by Three Texans at Green Light Gallery.
