Greetings!
The twenty‑first Sunday in Ordinary Time reminds us that all authority rests in God, and He entrusts it to those who serve His purpose with humility and faith.
Isaiah shows God removing Shebna and raising up Eliakim, revealing that true leadership is a gift meant for service, not self‑gain. God cares for His people by giving them faithful guides.
The psalm celebrates God’s saving love, rescue comes not from human merit but from His faithful care.
Paul lifts our hearts to the mystery of God’s wisdom. His grace surpasses human understanding, and salvation is His gift alone. All things begin in Him and return to Him.
In the Gospel, Peter’s confession, You are the Son of the living God, opens the way for Christ to build His Church upon faith. The keys given to Peter reveal the Church’s mission to guide souls toward heaven. Yet every believer is called to encounter Christ personally and to live His Good News with courageous love.
These readings remind us that God is in control. He raises up leaders, strengthens His Church, and pours out wisdom on all who trust in Him.

QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning
Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church, school, or school endowment fund can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
We are deeply grateful for your consideration in supporting
Resurrection Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Parish School
with your generous donations. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts.

Universal Church Appeal Collection
Beginning in 2026, the Archdiocese of Portland is introducing the Universal Church Appeal, a streamlined approach that replaces more than 15 individual national
second collections with one unified annual appeal.
Through one simple, primarily digital giving opportunity, parishioners can support multiple domestic and international Church ministries, including Catholic Relief Services, Peter’s Pence, and World Missions. Gifts are passed through in full according to each donor’s designation.
There are QR-coded cards on the welcome table.
