Chanukah 2025: Celebrating Together

During Chanukah, we were so glad to bring together over 350 lone soldiers and lone b’not sherut for a beautiful night of celebration at our annual Chanukah Party, held at StandWithUs. The room was filled with music, laughter, and the kind of community warmth that everyone had been needing.

There was delicious food, a great DJ that kept the energy high, a fun photo booth, exciting raffles, and so many real conversations that helped people feel connected and supported. It felt like a true moment of light during the holiday.

We were also honored to welcome Adir Schwartz, Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, who joined us to light the Chanukah candles and added a meaningful spirit to the evening.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night special and memorable.

Run in the Jerusalem Marathon & Support Our Soldiers

Once again this year, our lone soldiers and B'not Sherut are running in the Jerusalem Marathon. Every step they take shows their dedication and love for this place we all call home. Your support makes a real difference. It cheers them on and reminds them they are not running alone. Let’s celebrate them together and help them reach the finish line with all of us behind them.

In Memory of Josh Boone: Support Mental Health

Master Sargent (res.) Josh Boone was a dear lone soldier from the U.S. who gave so much to Israel and to his fellow soldiers. After over 700 days of reserve duty on the front lines, he carried the weight of what he experienced in ways that weren’t always visible. Tragically, he passed away, leaving us all reminded of how important it is to care for mental health. By supporting our mental health services, we can be there for lone soldiers and B'not Sherut who are struggling, giving them the help, support, and hope they need so no one faces these challenges alone.

Our Israeli division went to an escape room and had a great time together.

We visited lone b'not sherut at their workplaces, such as Hadassah Ein Kerem

At Michve Alon Base, where the Army’s Hebrew course takes place, we presented to the lone soldiers and shared how we can support them.

Thanksgiving 2025: Thank you!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined or supported our Thanksgiving celebration on November 27. Whether you attended the event or helped make it possible, you helped bring together over 385 lone soldiers, service members, volunteers, and community members for an evening full of food, music, and connection.

We were also honored to have Former Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem and honorary board member of The Base, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, join us for the celebration, adding a meaningful presence to the night.

Because of you, this Thanksgiving was truly special for our community. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to do it again next year. Watch below to hear feedback from our soldiers and b’not sherut who joined the event.
