A Message from Headmaster Scott
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
It is great to see growth and progress in ourselves and in others. When we compare our scholars today to where they were in August, we may be astounded. Oftentimes with young people, they grow so fast that we are afraid to blink. However, when it comes to character formation, the growth is seldom visible. Like watching the minutes slink by on a clock, we know the growth is happening, but we grow impatient revisiting the same mistakes as the child works through the process. In times like these we can declare with the proverbial tortoise, “a steady pace wins the race!” Changing our character seldom happens through grandiose experiences. Instead, it happens in the accumulated moments of daily practice. It comes partially through a thousand mistakes of varying degrees, but mostly through a thousand “I’m sorrys” that follow those mistakes. As we continue to work through for ourselves and for our children, let us be patient and full of grace, knowing we are headed the right way and trusting the process. Have a great weekend!
Heartily Devoted,
Clay Scott
Headmaster

Late Pick-up Policy
We have been doing very well with our on-campus student pick-up and drop-off routines as of late. Every year, it takes a few weeks for us to settle into a routine so that the pickup runs smoothly. Now that pick-up times are running efficiently, we ask parents to ensure they arrive on time to pick up their students.
We will begin enforcing our Late Pick-up Policy on Tuesday, September 5. Please make sure you are arriving within 30 minutes of the end of school to pick up your scholar in order to avoid being charged a late pick-up fee. Parents arriving after this time will be required to sign out their child from the MPR and may be assessed a $2 per minute, per student late fee. All late pick-up fees will be added to your Configio account and are due upon receipt. For more information, please see page 46 of our Family Handbook.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - You will be charged from 3:35pm
Wednesday - You will be charged from 1:55pm
Half days - You will be charged from 12:25pm (excludes Half Day Kinder)

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
