Says Our Shared Compass: Communities navigating toward a thriving Minnesota

Minnesota Compass Annual Meeting 2026

Thursday, May 14, 2026 | 8:30-11:00 a.m.

Join us virtually or in person at Wilder Center, Saint Paul, MN

A continental breakfast will be served.

We look forward to you joining us for rich conversation and connection.

Minnesotans have shown that community engagement and collective action are both vital to our well-being. Community-led actions have kept neighbors safe, small businesses open, and aid organizations running. Community engagement is also a guiding principle and practice of the Minnesota Compass project. Since our founding, we have engaged thousands of advisors to identify what is most important for measuring progress in our state and communities.

Please join us for our 2026 Compass Annual Meeting, which will focus on engaging with community to build upon our strengths and address challenges. At this year's meeting, you will:

Get the latest quality-of-life trends: Are they the same, better, or worse? Compass Project Director Allison Liuzzi will share the 2026 Compass Points dashboard and present the latest data on quality of life across the state.

Hear about our brand new health measures: Compass Research Scientist Amanda Petersen will present the new indicators, identified in collaboration with health and community experts to reflect Minnesotans' overall health.

Learn from our panel of experts: Our distinguished panel of experts will discuss the power of community engagement to identify, understand, and act on issues that affect lives and communities. Panelists include:

  • Carl Johnson, Food Justice Organizer and 2025 Bush Fellow
  • Liliana Letran-Garcia, CEO and President of CLUES
  • Pablo Obregon, Director of Community Growth in the City of Willmar
  • Dr. Stacie L. Stanley, Superintendent of Saint Paul Public Schools

Engage in guided discussion and informal networking: There will be opportunities to network and converse with co-participants about what we've heard, and how we can engage with community and each other to create and meet meaningful shared goals.

SPACE IS LIMITED. We encourage you to attend in person to allow more virtual spots for those who live farther from the Twin Cities.
