Dear Westminster family and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that our longtime members Nahida and Donald Gordon's son Mark Halaby Gordon died on Saturday, September 12 at this home in California.
The funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, September 25 at the Spring Grove Funeral Homes in Cincinnati. You may read Mark's obituary here.
Please hold Nahida and Donald and their family in prayers. To respect the family's privacy, I invite you to refrain from visits and phone calls at this time. You may show your support and love to them by sending cards (1467 Hunt Club Drive).
Mark grew up at Westminster Church and I know that many of you treasure special memories of him. As we celebrate his life and grieve his loss within our community, may we find comfort in these words from Romans 8:
" The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words...
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
