It is going to be a fantastic year, together!

Welcome Back, Vessels Families!

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Vessels Elementary! As we prepare for another action-packed year of learning, growth, and connection, our entire staff is filled with excitement and anticipation.

This year, our schoolwide theme is “Go for the Gold!” Inspired by the Olympic spirit, this theme reminds us of the determination, perseverance, and teamwork required to achieve greatness, both in sports and in academics. Just like world-class athletes, our students are encouraged to set goals, work hard, and support one another as they strive for excellence.

At Vessels, every child deserves a learning environment where they feel seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. With a strong focus on academic achievement, social-emotional development, and positive behavior through our PBIS and MTSS frameworks, Vessels remains an ideal place for students to thrive. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each student receives the support and encouragement they need every step of the way.

We are so excited to partner with you for what promises to be an incredible year. Let’s get ready to cheer one another on, celebrate big and small victories, and always Go for the Gold—together.

Welcome back, and let the journey begin!

Warmly,

Dr. Holman

Principal, Vessels Elementary

Attendance Matters at Vessels

At Vessels Elementary, we know how important it is for students in TK through 6th grade to attend school every day. Research from Attendance Works shows that missing just 10% of the school year—about 18 days—can significantly disrupt a child’s learning, social skills, and emotional growth. When students miss school frequently, it becomes harder for them to keep up with lessons, build friendships, and develop the confidence they need to succeed both now and in the future.

What makes attendance especially critical at Vessels is the high-impact teaching our educators provide every single day. Our teachers create engaging, personalized lessons designed to meet each child’s unique needs. They build strong relationships and foster a supportive environment where students are excited to learn and grow. Because the instruction is so rich and meaningful, being present in class ensures students do not miss out on valuable opportunities to explore new ideas, ask questions, and develop essential skills that set a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

We encourage families to partner with us by prioritizing attendance and communicating with the school when challenges arise. Together, we can ensure every child benefits fully from the exceptional teaching and nurturing community at Vessels. When students come to school regularly, they not only keep pace academically but also build resilience, friendships, and a love of learning that will carry them far beyond elementary school.
