FREE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS 101 WEBINARS HOSTED BY PTSA

In response to feedback from the recent college admissions survey, the PTSA has organized a free webinar series for parents, featuring three experienced college counselors who have been working with students and families in the Puget Sound area. These sessions will provide a College Admissions 101 overview, covering key aspects of the application process and offering expert insights. Each session is likely to cover similar information, so you have the flexibility to attend the one that fits your schedule. If you have specific questions you’d like addressed, please email smittal@icptsa.org in advance.

KEY CLUB'S ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE STARTS THIS WEEK!

Key Club’s annual Food Drive is here! From February 24 to March 6, your students can bring nonperishable goods to their grade box at the front of the school. Donations will be sent to Northwest Harvest, a nonprofit that supports food banks across Washington. The grade that donates the most will win a prize!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MARCH STAFF LUNCH

Our March Staff Appreciation Luncheon is coming up on Wednesday, March 5 with the theme, "March Madness." Please sign up to volunteer if you can!

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

We will be having our Annual Building Battle of the Books Challenge on Wednesday, March 19, 1:15 PM - 2:45 PM in the Library. We need 8-10 volunteers to help with this event! Link to: Sign Up if you are available to help.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS LWPTSA

LWPTSA council is pleased to roll out our 2025 Scholarship Program for graduating LWSD seniors.

The year's student scholarships, available to seniors at LWSD high schools, will include 13 awards of $1,250 each. Category descriptions are listed here as well as on the application.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 14.

ADDITIONAL SKI DATE ADDED

The ICS ski bus will run next Wednesday, February 26. The additional date was added due to the snow day on February 5.

The ski bus still has space available for single day riders who are looking to enjoy unsupervised skiing or snowboarding on the remaining Wednesdays of our program.

To sign up: fill out this form, confirm your spot with the organizers in the WhatsApp group, pay for the bus ($50 per ride, per person) and show up for loading on time (you provide your own gear + lift ticket or pass). You can register a sibling or a friend, too.

LUNCH ROOM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

With the change in start time for the school, the entire student population has a single lunch block. We need volunteers to support the lunchroom every day. This is a great way to help at school and earn volunteer hours!

Requirement: 11:00 AM - Noon

Responsibilities:

• Direct kids to the lunch line. 
• Help serve food items. 
• Help clear up after lunch.

HELP MAKE ICS SPARKLE! JOIN THE SPRING CLEANING EVENT!

Our next Indoor Cleaning Event will be held at ICS on Wednesday April 2, from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Earn 2.5 hours per family member who participates AND bring a smile to our teachers faces when they walk in the next day!

The more participants we have, the quicker it will go! It truly makes a big difference! Cleaning supplies and food/drinks are provided. Please signup here. Thank you!
