The City of Cedar Park Celebrates the Opening of RE|CREATE

The City of Cedar Park is excited to announce the official ribbon cutting of RE|CREATE!

RE|CREATE is a new community facility developed by the City of Cedar Park Parks & Recreation Department, transforming the former public library into a vibrant hub for multigenerational programming and events. The center will offer year-round classes and activities, including dance, theater, fitness, visual arts, education, senior programs, homeschool enrichment, and children’s play. RE|CREATE is a program-based facility, and most activities require advance registration.

We are hosting an open house to highlight different programs, events, and facility features for our community. This event is FREE for the entire community.

Upcoming Chlorine Rinse: System Hygiene

To maintain the effectiveness of the region's water distribution system, the cities of Cedar Park, Round Rock, Leander, and Liberty Hill will temporarily change their disinfectant from chloramine to free chlorine beginning August 3, 2026, for approximately one month.

This conversion is part of a coordinated regional effort, as the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority (BCRUA), which supplies water to these cities either directly or through one of its owner cities, will be conducting the same conversion simultaneously.

During the conversion, customers may notice a chlorine-like taste or smell in their water. This is normal. The water will remain safe to drink, bathe in, and use for everyday purposes, including watering plants.

For more information, visit cedarparktexas.gov/ChlorineRinse.
