The Bulk Of The Survey
Scottsdale Solid Waste provides monthly brush and bulk collection for homeowners. Not all high-end subdivisions in North Scottsdale allow bulk pickup in their communities. Sincuidados does.

Some people believe this service provides an easy and convenient way for them to dispose of items too big to fit in their curbside container. However, the Board of Directors has received complaints that the amount of bulk trash left on our streets creates a poor appearance.

In a recent survey, 45.8 percent of homeowners who responded said they favor continuing both brush and bulk pickup but believe homeowners should put bulk trash on the curb only two days instead of nine before the week of pickup.

26.8 percent would prefer to leave brush and bulk collection as is.

16.1 percent would like to keep brush pickup but stop all bulk trash pickup.

The remaining 11.3 percent selected a variety of alternatives which homeowners typed in under "other.”

The survey received 168 responses.

The Board will consider the survey results and decide whether to change the current rules for bulk trash at the next open board meeting at 2pm, Friday, December 17. Sincuidados homeowners can attend this meeting via Zoom. You should soon receive the agenda and Zoom invitation.

The HOA purchased new community waste bins that are expected to arrive in eight to 12 weeks. The above picture on the left shows a current waste bin. The picture on the right is an example of a new waste bin. The current waste bins are estimated to be 20 to 30 years old.
Light It Up
The HOA refurbished the community signs at the Pima Road entrance. Workers removed the letters, which were off for a few weeks. The work included repainting the letters and replacing the lights and wiring that backlight the Sincuidados logo.
Got Clearance?
Sincuidados added a clearance sign at the Pima Road entrance after a couple of vehicles hit and damaged the canopy.
A Night's Tale
Sincuidados homeowner Lynne Russell shot these photos a recent lunar eclipse.

"Oh, what a night," she said. "Waiting for the light. It was worth missing a few hours of sleep to capture these four stages of the second half of the almost total lunar eclipse on November 19, 2021. 99.1% of the moon had moved within earth’s 'umbra'. Here, I captured the moon moving back out of the earth’s shadow."
