Dear Jason,
Welcome to the February 2024 newsletter from Prismo Metals! We're grateful to all of you for your continuous support and commitment to reading our monthly updates.
In this update, we're pleased to present significant progress across our projects in Mexico and the USA, alongside some corporate updates. It has been a busy month of news releases and updates, and we are excited to share them with you. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who engaged with us at the recently concluded VRIC and CEM conferences. We hope the discussions were fruitful and provided you with valuable insights!
We're also delighted to extend an invitation to join us at PDAC from March 3-6, 2024! Our team will be at Booth #3010 and are happy to talk to you, whether you’re a long-time supporter or a curious newcomer. If you are interested in learning more about our projects, we would love to have a one-on-one chat with you in Toronto. Please email Jason Frame, our Manager of Communications, at jason.frame@prismometals.com to book a meeting with us.
Warm regards,
Dr. Craig Gibson

Los Pavitos (gold, Sonora, Mexico)
-
Gold & Silver Footprints Expanded: We successfully expanded the gold footprint by 2.5 km to the northeast and the silver footprint by 1 km. To date, less than half of the property has been systematically mapped and sampled. Already, five major structures—Las Auras, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Southeast, La Espanola, and Oromuri—each spanning 0.5 to 1.5 km, have been identified with positive drilling results. The southern half of the property will be explored in 2024 with pioneering drilling throughout.
-
Latest Drilling Results: Results from the final 8 holes of the 2023 drilling program have been reported, with the best results (2.6 g/t gold over 0.5 m and 1.18 g/t gold over 0.5 m) obtained from shallow (<120m) holes in the Las Auras and Oromuri structures. These findings indicate significant potential for more widespread mineralization in the northwest portion of the property, warranting further drilling.
-
2023 Exploration Program: Our 2023 exploration program in the northern portion of Los Pavitos involved geologic mapping, sampling, and drilling, including the first-ever drilling at the property. We drilled 25 holes, totaling 2,370 meters of HQ core, targeting seven mineralized structures up to 1.5 km long, with depths of up to 171 meters.
Palos Verdes (silver, Sinaloa, Mexico)
-
Upcoming Expanded Drilling Program: We anticipate starting the expanded drilling program at Palos Verdes shortly, which will consist of approximately 3,600 meters across ten holes, to be completed in two phases. The new holes will be drilled from Vizsla Silver Corp. (TSXV: VZLA) concessions adjacent to the Palos Verdes concession, targeting the Palos Verdes vein at depth.
-
Positive Alteration Study & Geochemical Sampling: In preparation for the upcoming drilling, we conducted an alteration study & geochemical sampling. Findings indicate the potential for the mineralized shoot, previously defined by drilling on the west side of the property, to be truncated and offset downward along a cross fault, and that a second blind mineralized shoot may exist to the northeast along the Palos Verdes vein.
Hot Breccia (copper, Arizona, USA)
-
Priority Drill Target Identified: The ZTEM survey identified a large conductive body at depth below the surface exposure of a large dike swarm that hosts the namesake breccias. While all of the historic drill holes intersected hydrothermal alteration within the volcanic rocks that overlie the typically better mineralized Paleozoic carbonate rocks with increasing alteration intensity downwards, no historic drilling targeted this newly identified conductive zone identified in the ZTEM survey. The carbonate host units above the anomaly contain copper intercepts exceeding 1% and elevated zinc levels.
-
Drilling Permit Update: The process of obtaining a permit for drilling at Hot Breccia commenced in 2023. We anticipate obtaining the permit by Q1 2024.

🎯 We successfully expanded the gold & silver footprints at Los Pavitos! 🤩 In 2023, we explored the northern half of the project. The exploration included the first-ever drilling at the property where we hit fantastic gold results even within shallow depths (max 171 m).
🎉 That’s a wrap on the Whistler Capital Event by CEM! A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat with our Technical Advisor, Steve Robertson. We’re thrilled by the interest in our Hot Breccia Project and our 2024 plans.
🔍 A recent alteration study at Palos Verdes property, using the Terraspec Halo near-infrared spectrometer, identified mica and clay minerals around the mineralized veins in surface exposures and drill cores. The study, together with geochemical sampling, suggested a downward offset in the northeastern portion of the Palos Verdes vein.
