7/6/25 Updates & Stampin' Up! News | | |
Hello Rachel,
I hope all is well in your world.
Our June kept us busy. Our youngest son graduated from high school - we attended his ceremony on the first and then prepared for and hosted his party on the 7th. It was a busy but wonderful week.
The day after the party our oldest son Nick was playing in his first sandlot league baseball game of the season and broke his tibia & fibula while sliding into home base. He scored for his team, but his plans for his summer changed drastically. His surgery was a week later on the 16th, two days before our big annual mega crafting supply sale and three days before my husband Tim and youngest son Luke left for Vienna. These things couldn't be cancelled so we pushed on through. I was blessed to have all the fellow demonstrators helping to run the sale and my parents in town to help me with Nick and to drive Tim and Luke to the airport while the sale was still happening.
Everyday is getting easier. In fact Nick was moved from a splint/cast to a boot on July 2nd and is working on foot mobility when he can and is in good spirts. The sale went great. And Tim and Luke will be back tomorrow. They have had a wonderful time on their European trip. And I'm proud to say I kept things intact while they were gone playing the role of mom, dad, and nurse.

Nick had friends over on the 4th, and we lit off some fireworks at the end of our driveway. And he drove over (yep, he can drive...Yay!) to hang out with more friends last night.
The craziness will continue for a bit more because I have foot surgery scheduled for this Friday with a doctor in Las Vegas who is well-known for his success rate with my issue. (I developed a Morton's Neuroma three years ago. The pain subsided for awhile, but lately it's been worse. And I'm sick of the restrictions I feel from it.) Please keep me and the the surgeon, Dr. Bregman in your well wishes and prayers. My sister will be traveling with me. We fly out on Wednesday and return the following Monday. So there will be two of us in our house on crutches for awhile.
I usually go live on YouTube every Wednesday to share fun paper crafting ideas. But this week I've shifted it to Tuesday, the 8th because of my upcoming trip. And then because of recovery time I'll be resting the following week. My next live is scheduled for the 23td. But if I'm feeling up to it, I may also sneak in a live on Saturday the 19th or Sunday the 20th. I'll post it in my Google calendar if I decide I'm up for it.
Please read through all the news below and let me know if you have any questions. OH...And I'm now taking catalog mailing requests for the upcoming September-December 2025 Mini Catalog. Those will be mailed out mid August to those who sign up by July 28th.
