Congratulations to the incredible cast, crew, and musicians of 9 to 5: The Musical! Opening night was a fantastic success, and the hard work and dedication of everyone involved truly shone through. Performances will continue throughout this weekend, so be sure to catch this inspiring production celebrating teamwork and resilience. Break a leg to all involved!

EmpowerHer Conference


Shout out to Asst. Athletic Director, Molly Tomlinson (the visionary), the DHS athletic department, coaches, student-athletes, technology and tech theatre, building and grounds crew, and security for organizing, supporting and hosting the inaugural EmpowerHER conference today at DHS. Over 700 athletes and coaches from high schools around the area attended this incredible event complete with keynote speaker, Sarah Spain, followed by breakout sessions.


The goal of the event aimed to:

  • Inspire girls to develop leadership skills, gain confidence, and maintain long-term engagement in sports.
  • Promote Sustained Participation: Develop mental, physical, and leadership skills through engaging, supportive workshops.
  • Celebrate Achievements & Inspire Leadership: A safe, celebratory environment highlighting sports’ impact on personal growth.

Booster Club Funding Updates

At the February 11, 2025, Booster Club meeting, a total of $34,588 in funding was approved for various athletic programs. These funds will directly enhance the experiences and resources available to our student-athletes!

Approved funding includes:

  1. Sports Teams - Breakthrough Banner
  2. Boys Cross Country – 100 Off-Season Competition Singlets
  3. Boys and Girls Track and Field - 5 Hurdle Carts & Branded Covers
  4. Girls Field Hockey - Veo Camera for JVA & JVB Teams
  5. Warrior Dance Team - Choreographer Travel Fees
  6. Strength & Conditioning Coach – January to June 2025
  7. Softball – Halo

Job Opportunities

DYBSA is hiring shed workers and umpires for the upcoming season and is looking for DHS students to get involved! These are paid positions and no formal experience is necessary. Training will be provided!

  • Shed Workers: Help manage equipment and field operations.

Note: If you are under 16, a work permit will be required from the school.

Deerfield Parent Network Presents..


“Teens and the Law” 

Join us on Tuesday, February 25th, at 7:30 PM in the Deerfield High School Café for “Teens and the Law.”This program will feature a circuit court judge, a criminal attorney, local law enforcement, and a DHS administrator discussing key topics such as legal liabilities for social hosts, vaping, curfew laws, driving violations, and the consequences of underage alcohol and drug use. 


Harlan Cohen presents “5 Simple Rules for High School Parents:

In today’s world, parents often find themselves solving problems for their children instead of guiding them to overcome challenges on their own. This can leave students without the grit and life skills necessary to thrive beyond high school. Join Harlan Cohen, New York Times bestselling author, on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 7:30 pm in the DHS Auditorium, as he shares “5 Simple Rules for High School Parents.”In this engaging session, Harlan will provide actionable tools to help parents empower their teens to become more resilient, less reactive, and better at solving their own problems—skills essential for navigating the challenges of college and adulthood.

District 113 Foundation


Pizza Bowl & Baker’s Showcase is Back!

Join the District 113 Education Foundation on Sunday, February 23rd, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM for the Pizza Bowl & Baker's Showcase! Sample delicious pizza and baked goods from top local restaurants and bakeries, along with student jazz performances and exciting raffles—all in support of a great cause.


Tickets are $13/person, $40/family of 5* ($10 each additional person). Tickets available at the door! Cash is preferred, but we will also accept credit cards, debit, and Apple Pay. This event is open to everyone in the community!
