Last chance – Deadline Friday

Your teacher bag donations are due this Friday. Here is a fun testimonial on what they mean to the teachers: “Thank you to the Chamber for sending fun gift bags. When I got home, I dumped the bag out on the table like after Halloween, and my child and I had fun dividing the spoils and making a great kit for local trivia nights with pens, notepads, and even hand sanitizer in a cute new case. What a lot of businesses in Lakeville! I look forward to tubing this winter with the free passes, and then likely using one of the chiropractor or health center invites where I can use the other notepads and pens to doodle while I wait to be repaired. Thanks for making life fun and supporting LAS all year!” - Kim M

THIS Friday

  • Scholarship donation is tax deductible.
  • Lakeville Chamber Foundation Board awards the scholarships.
  •  Donor can choose whether to support student scholarship or Chamber Member employee grants (either or both).
  •  Donor can choose the title of the scholarship to include company name, organization, individual, etc.
  •  Donor logo or choice of scholarship name will be featured on our scholarship website with the option to include a memorial.
  • Scholarships will be awarded late spring each year (April/May)

This opportunity to provide needed student scholarships while honoring your company or company founder is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community.

If you are interested in this program, please contact Chamber Foundation President, Mel Simon of Styer Transportation at msimon@styertrans.com.

Established in June 2009, the Lakeville Area Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, is focused on workforce development and business education. The volunteer Board of Directors raises money each year to provide scholarships and grants that benefit Lakeville area schools, programs, students and Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses.

  • Scholarships are available to Lakeville Area Schools (ISD194) graduating high school seniors to further strengthen their workforce and leadership skills.
  •  Scholarships are available to Chamber member employees who are pursuing education credits, or career advancement courses that will benefit their current employer.
  • Impact Grants are awarded to schools and organizations that support innovative, student-based programs, that include workforce readiness initiatives and/or STEM career exposure. Priority is given to programs that have the ability to be replicated, sustained, and adapted.

You can support our mission through:

  • One-time donation on LakevilleChamber.org
  • Optional donation with annual Chamber member renewal
