Exciting Update Regarding The Church Staff!

Celebrating Linda, Lianna, and Anne

Dear First Congregational Church,

It is with great joy that I am writing to share three announcements about our church staff.

The Ministerial Selection Committee, elected at a special Congregational Meeting on January 28, has voted unanimously and enthusiastically to recommend that First Congregational Church call Rev. Linda Kowatch as our settled Associate Minister. That motion will come before the church for a vote at our Annual Congregational Meeting on March 10 in Plymouth Hall following the 10:30 AM Worship Service.

Lianna Campos, our new Minister of Faith Formation, begins her position with us on March 1. Lianna is a 2022 Master of Divinity graduate of Christian Theological Seminary and in the final stages of the process leading to ordained ministry in the United Church of Christ. She comes to us with experience serving as Director of Faith Formation in two previous congregations as well as four years as an elementary school teacher. Lianna, her spouse Josh, and their three dogs, Zaggi, Puff, and Sally, are moving into their new home in Longmont this week.

We are delighted to welcome Anne Martinez as our Director of Children’s and Youth Music. Anne brings fifteen years’ experience in music education – directing choirs in public schools, teaching voice lessons to middle and high school students, leading intergenerational music classes at a local preschool and retirement community, and serving as a music director in her former congregation. Anne, her husband Chris, and two young sons, David and Thomas, have already made a home in our church over the past two years.

Lianna, Anne, and Linda will all be present for worship on Sunday morning, March 3.

A festive reception in Plymouth Hall will follow the 10:30 AM Worship Service. There will be cake! Faith Singers and Joyful Noise are invited to the Chapel after worship to meet with Anne. Cupcakes will be waiting for them!
