On Tuesday, March 25, NAR announced a new Multiple Listing Options for Sellers policy, designed to complement the existing Clear Cooperation Policy and other MLS policies. While the policy is officially effective as of March 25, MLSs have until September 30, 2025, to implement it.

PrimeMLS will begin developing our approach to this policy, including assessing any necessary updates to our MLS software. As they become available, we’ll inform all PrimeMLS customers with detailed updates and guidance.

At this time, no changes have been made to PrimeMLS systems or policies related to this announcement.

Are you marketing the same listing in TWO property classes?

If you're listing the same property in two different property classes, be sure to use the "Listed in Other Prop Type" field!

Here's how to do it:

1. After saving the first listing, copy the MLS number.

2. When creating the second listing, update the "Listed in Other Prop Type" field to "Yes," and paste that MLS number into the "Primary MLS #" field. The List Date must match the list date of the original listing, and using these fields helps the Compliance Team recognize the second entry as a duplicate, which prevents the listing agent from being flagged for a late entry violation.

Important Reminders:

• When the property closes, update the listing in the most appropriate property class to Closed.
• Email the secondary MLS number to rules@primemls.com so we can delete it.
• Only 1 listing can be closed - not both.
• A mobile home must be closed as a Mobile Home, and a condo must be closed as a Condo.
