Did you Know...

ATRI recently released a study that brings to light the challenges faced by the U.S. vehicle electrification system that must be addressed if BEV adoption in the U.S. were to proceed on a large scale.

One overarching challenge identified in this study determined that truck parking and truck charging are entirely interconnected. If there are not enough parking spaces, there will not be enough charging spaces. Hence, if there is not a charger at each parking space the issue will be exacerbated.

It was determined that a solution will be costly and must synchronize the truck driver with truck parking availability, truck charging capability and the federal Hours-of-Service work regulations. If these things are not considered this could quite possibly create “Truck Parking Crisis 2.0.”
