Hello!
Join Marita Golden and writers Tracy Chiles McGhee and Abdul Ali to discuss and celebrate Marita’s impact as a writer, teacher of writing, mentor, and institution builder.

As a novelist, memoirist, anthologist, and literary activist Marita has created a canon of 22 books, worked with writers in academic institutions, in her individual classes, and built community to sustain and nurture Black writers.

In this program, Marita will be in conversation with novelist Tracy Chiles McGhee and poet Abdul Ali. Marita will discuss her influences, her writing process, and how since 1983 with the publication of her memoir Migrations of the Heart she has “dreamed a world” of stories that many readers hold dear.
