The first session of the Reading Buddies Program at Fletcher-Maynard Academy wrapped up last month with a last day celebration full of laughs, hugs and tears (having to say good-bye). Thank you to all of our Reading Buddies for developing such special connections with their 2nd grade buddies. The second session is now underway with FMA 1st graders!

Thank you to all of our amazing NetPal partners for welcoming 7th graders from CSUS, RAUC and PAUS into their workplace. Students were treated to lunch and were able to connect with their STEM NetPal, engage in hands-on activities and explore the office and labs!

CSV is currently only looking for volunteers for the specific needs of programs listed below. We will have many more volunteer opportunities available in the next school year. The 2025-2026 volunteer application opens at the end of June. Please check our website in the summer to apply. Thank you for volunteering with CSV!

Art & Science in One (AS1) is an outdoor program in which volunteers mentor fourth and fifth graders from Tobin Montessori, focusing on observing nature in a calm and mindful state, noting and sketching what is seen, and supporting one another through these endeavors. Art experience is not necessary and training is provided!

We are looking for volunteers to join the program starting on May 16. If you are a new volunteer this year, please fill out the application below. If you are already volunteering in another CSV program, please email David directly.
