CENTENARY NEWS

Soles to the Polls 2026

Centenary has once again joined the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP) in committing that 100% of Centenary members who are eligible will vote this year. The 2026 ballot is full of important Congressional races, three amendments to the Virginia constitution, and some local races and referenda. Our bulletin board on the first floor contains detailed information about the ballots, early voting, mail-in voting, and registration deadlines. Our “We’re Voting” sign is proudly displayed.

Our 100% Voter kickoff is this Sunday, and voter registration will be open after the

service for anyone who needs to update their registration, or who has questions about voting. After our service on Sunday, October 18 , our Richmond voters can walk together to City Hall to vote. This Soles to the Polls walk is about a half mile each way. If a ride is needed let Jane Newell know.

Membership Inquiry Class

This Sunday!

Is Centenary starting to feel like home to you? Join us for a Membership Inquiry Class on September 20, after worship — a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to learn more about Centenary and the United Methodist Church. We'll then celebrate Membership Sunday on October 11 during worship. Questions? Reach out to Emily at srpastor@centumc.org.

Welcome District Superintendent

A reception will follow

We are Back!

Wednesdays at 10:00am on Zoom

Join Pastor Emily for a lively, open conversation around scripture — digging into the passages we'll hear in worship in the weeks ahead. Come wrestle, question, and discover together as we explore what God is doing in the world (and in us!). Want the Zoom link? Email Laura at admin@centumc.org to be added to the list.

Mission

Our mission is to change the world through love.

To acknowledge God’s love is, for each of us, a life-changing event.

As followers of Jesus, we share God’s love for all people, and work together to make our world a better place, one life at a time.
