February in Review

SWATCA 2026 Teachers’ Convention Recap

This year at the SWATCA 2026 Teachers’ Convention, we were delighted to host a booth showcasing our resources and Métis history all in one place. It was a wonderful community‑building experience, and we had the chance to connect with so many passionate educators throughout the region. We’re grateful for the warm engagement and inspiring conversations, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s convention.

Seniors’ Gathering

We genuinely love catching up with our seniors! This little crew of ours is always growing, always welcoming, and always up for good company. This month we were lucky to have a wonderful member bring us beautifully decorated cookies for Valentine's Day. We also were fortunate to welcome members from the LPD It was a great Friday afternoon!

If you’ve been thinking about coming out, take this as your gentle nudge. We’d be so happy to have you at the next one! The next gathering is March 13th here at the LAMA office.
