Leaving everything for the cause of Christ.

From Siberia, Russia to Brazil

Urgent note before I send this out... Our USA Bank of America account was hacked! There is a new Account number but I'm not going to publish it. please contact us if you desire to make a donation via transfer or direct deposit etc. in the usa.

Last night we had an afterglow with the volunteers that came for the volunteer's Christmas party. We spent hours talking about how we can improve on the homeless outreach etc. Near the end we gave a little gift of chocolate to each person but only after they gave a word of thanks to the Lord for something in 2022... Uliana said "I'm glad my family is still alive and none of my friends were sent off to war..."

The words stung my heart as tears rolled down my face, the reality of living under such of a risk of death or separation at any moment brings the reality of that thankfulness right into your face... you never know when your life will end. She has now exchanged what we perceive as an eternal Siberian winter for the unending spring and fall we have in Brazil.

Trails of Wisdom Family Fair

In the middle of 3 days of intense preparation for this event I had many opportunities to have faith and trust God in peace that everything would work out. Workers were sick and couldn't show up to help. The big tent and stage never showed up. I had lost many days in bed due to COVID. A dear friend died on Friday and his funeral was on Saturday. His pastor is our pastor and Pastor Roberto is one of our main workers and he had to leave during the event to do the funeral... Then during all this we discovered someone hacked our US ministry account and had stolen several thousand dollars.... But God's peace reigned and His word was preached... During worship people were crying and many heard the truth of the gospel... And Sunday we got to go to the baptism of Léo, one of my round table converts! Then that evening preaching to the homeless!...  and so the story goes on....

The saturday family fair was a total blessing to everyone. All the families loved it. The kids and adults got to talk with and play fireman!

Lots of Good Food, Preaching, Worship... Nothing better!

Worship just kept going on as different people grabbed a mic and a guitar and just kept it going... it was truly heavenly knowing God is listening to every voice!

Saturday evening thing wrapped up really quick at the fair because of good volunteers. Sunday morning off we went to Leo's baptism event. then lunch with our friends and pastors!

Then after lunch we headed out to the homeless rescue center ran by Anderson. His daughter is Aurora, remeber her?! Born premature fighting for her life? Well, now she's the life of all the parties!

With a large team of volunteers and 5 hours of prep work, then 4 hours setting it all up, we had over 100 men women and children show up to our homeless block party.

I was able to encourage them by sharing from the word of God and presenting them with the vision and desires of God for their lives.

The evening went very well and we served every one dinner at the end... and again the volunteers shined like a star in helping get it all taken down and cleaned up to go home... we were home by 11 pm! Last time Ashley was still washing dishes at 1am an hour from home!

We got to bed around midnight, then Monday we picked Uliana up at the airport. This week we also sent 180 Water filters to pastors in India! That will help their health situation considerably. Especially when traveling!

Thursday, we got up and starting prepping to receive all of those great volunteers and workers. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and a special service for Leo to destroy...

...the ten-year-old idol of Buddha that he had put in his yard. After a short teaching and a prayer of denouncing the false god and idolatry he personally smashed it to pieces with a sledge hammer!

In the old testament they would grind this to powder and make them drink it or throw it into a river.. it's now broken stones in the bottom of a fire pit!

After the smashing, our core team came down to our home and we spent hours chatting and eating Christmas chocolates, coffee etc. and discussing how to improve all our efforts for next year.

At this point we gave everyone their own chocolate to take home; after they shared their thankfulness for something in 2022. This was when Uliana really got our hearts and spirit thinking. We are thankful we are still alive but it's different when war is literally hanging over your head. As a Russian Christian she had just gone to the Ukraine to help out the hurting and wounded families.

The few days before all the events we were able to put up our new sign... "Only Jesus Saves". The other side is "Living Stones Ranch". I have already had several locals comment on the sign in a very positive way.

The activities have had a tremendous impact on the local kid's lives doing things they never even dreamed of and the parents knew it!

The parents took every opportunity to make a huge impact on their kid’s lives here...

...and before they all left they got a good dose of Jesus, Worship, Grace and the unconditional Love of God!

A word from Ashley:

Brother Wayne has always been a person larger than life to me. I heard of him way before I saw him. I finally had the chance to see him on stage in 1994 when I was a student at Christ for the Nations. He was teaching on "Living to Give" the topic closest to his heart which he brings all over the world. 27 years have gone by and I have not forgotten it. More importantly I have had the chance to see up front and practice what he taught me then. I bear testimony to his teaching. Basically, that we should give hilariously!!! A concept pretty foreign to me as I was taught culturally to give carefully!!! Sure, we were taught to give cheerfully biblically too but many, including me, were not that cheerful. I realized over the years that cheerfulness is a discipline like joy that has to be cultivated. When I married Paul in 2001, I discovered that Wayne was already supporting him monthly. 22 years have gone by and he is still supporting us every month. He never misses a month. That was how I came into personal contact with this giant of a man who has become our hero in more ways than one. In addition, he would give large sums spontaneously to help with different ministries we are working with.

Last August we had the chance to fly to Mexico to celebrate his 100th birthday!!! The first thing he asked Paul at the party was "Do you need any more money to buy another house for your Amazon missionaries?" I was taken aback as it was his 100th birthday celebration and he is still thinking of others. He had given US$30K to help us buy a home for one of our missionaries before. We said "no" as thankfully all of our missionaries are finally out from rental after 17 years. We said we are going to Singapore the following month to raise money to build a safeway children's centre in the slums in Manaus Amazonas.

While waiting for our plane to take off from Singapore to Brazil on 15th Nov 2022, faithful Ivette who takes care of all Wayne’s matters wrote us asking us about our plans to build and the cost to start the safeway children's centre. Well by the time we landed back in Brazil, Paul had covid and we were fatigued and jetlagged as well. I didn't have the chance to respond immediately. It was 10 days later that I managed to

add up all the donations we received in Singapore for the different things we were doing in India and in Amazon. We needed U$250k for the safeway children's centre. We managed to raise US$68,511.00, enough to start the excavation and removal of the old building. We were so happy to report it to Ivette and brother Wayne.

Never did we ever imagine that in less than a few hours, we would receive another substantial sized from Brother Wayne!!! Now if this is not hilarious giving then what is??? He's 100 years and 3 months old! When I grow up to be a centenarian, my dream is to give hilariously the way he has shown us. Brother Wayne has shown us that God can trust a man with millions if we prove ourselves a trustworthy steward, he has given away literally millions in his lifetime. And to imagine that when he first started out as a single missionary 76 years ago in Mexico, the beans he put in his pressure cooker were so old that it was still hard after cooking!! From the little he had then; God has since multiple it many more times over. Thank you so much brother Wayne for showing us that hilarious giving is the way to live. What a legacy you have left for others to follow. May your influence of Christian faith increase all over the world for generations to come.

He is doing it....

We are so thankful because we know that what you are about to see!!! God is about to DO!!!
