Meet Wendi Dykes McGehee, PhD and Jillian Gilbert, DSL. Both are professors in the School of Business and Management at Azusa Pacific University (APU), Los Angeles, and LSP facilitators since 2017. Their strategy for bringing LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® into their classrooms centers around the 100/100 principle that allows everyone to participate and co-create new knowledge around the topic. In addition, the constructionist theory is supported knowing that deeper learning happens when we build something external to ourselves.
APU has other facilitators using LSP in their classrooms: Dr. LaShan Epperson, Dr. Frances Wu, Curtis Isozaki, Mike Medeiros, and Susan Barton. In addition, the 4-day LSP Foundation Training is offered annually on campus to students and alumni. To date, over 50 individuals have been certified at APU.
