Week 2 Spotlight:

Prayer and Liturgy

Nourished at the Table: Elevating Our Prayer and Worship Together

Dear Paulist Center Community,

A healthy community must first be a praying community. As we dive into the second week of spotlighting our three-year Pastoral Plan, we look at our foundational priority: Prayer & Liturgy.

Guided by our Strategic Anchor to be a spiritual community nourished by lifegiving prayer & liturgy, our plan focuses on:

  • Increase transformational prayer experiences at Masses and beyond.
  • Strengthen formation and support for our ministry leaders who make worship beautiful.

In light of our yearly Catholic Social Teaching theme, Rights and Responsibilities, we recognize that every member of the body of Christ has a right to a lifegiving liturgical encounter that feeds their soul. In return, we share a collective responsibility to nurture and elevate the gifts of our lay leaders to lead us deeper into prayer.

This directly fulfills the national Paulist Fathers Assembly Report, which calls us to cultivate a vibrant, Spirit-led interior life before we go out to serve the world.

Act with Us: Where is the Holy Spirit inviting you to deepen your prayer life this season? Consider learning more about how you can serve as a lector, eucharistic minister, or music minister to help shape our communal worship.
