COVID SCREENING GUIDE FOR PARENTS - Every morning, parents should utilize this daily screening tool from the Indiana State Department of Health to determine whether or not to send your child to school. *Please notice the clarification per the ISDH that states a close contact is defined by being within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24 hour period.

We have a dedicated phone line at ECS for reporting a positive COVID case in your family. If an ECS student or immediate family member receives a positive COVID test result, we're asking that you call the following number: 812-470-5423. That phone will be monitored by a rolling member of our administrative staff who will instruct you on next steps.

IMPORTANT 2021/22 SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION! |

CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT FOR 2021/22 - We view your child(ren)’s enrollment at ECS as a continuous partnership year-to-year.

Through our Continuous Enrollment process, we will automatically secure a spot for your student for the 21/22 school year. Many of our grades are near capacity, so this is your benefit to ensure your student has a spot each year.

The $200 Annual Commitment Fee (per family) will be added to your account and is due on March 1st. The fee will be due and non-refundable even if you withdraw at a later date unless you move out of town or experience other extenuating circumstances approved by administration.

We will renew your current school year options, including before/after school care, payment plan, etc. If you would like to change any of your options, please contact Nerissa Foor in the Business office. We encourage you to contact her soon regarding any changes. Also be sure to keep your information current in FACTS, including demographics, phone numbers, pick up lists, emergency contact information, etc.

FEES, TUITION, & AFFORDABILITY OPTIONS – The School Board recently approved the Tuition and Fees for the 21/22 school year. Affordability options such as the School Choice Voucher and SGO Grant will be sent to all families in February when the State releases the necessary information. Please watch the Friday Flyer in February for this information.

2021/22 SCHOOL CALENDAR - Click below to download the 2021/22 school calendar. Copies are also available on the ECS website under the "Parents" drop-down menu, in FACTS under School Resources, and hardcopies are available in all campus offices.

There are several things of note to mention here:
- We are starting a bit later than a typical year to give our staff a little more time to get their new classrooms ready in the new elementary building. There will be a LOT of moving in the month of July, so we are being proactive on the calendar, knowing it will take a lot of time and effort to get our new building ready to rock and roll on Day 1, which will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
- Starting later means that, for this one year, we have to go back to the Friday/Monday Fall Break (October 15 & 18). We will move back to the week-long Fall Break in 2022-23.
- We also have to pick up another day in the school year in order to get our 180 days in. We have chosen to have school in session on Good Friday (2022), and we will still be out at the end of the school year before Memorial Day. That's a win.
- You'll see the new campus start and end times at the top of the page. We'll now be referring to our campuses as Crossroads, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
- After School Care (ASC) will close at 5:30pm, starting in the 2021-22 school year.

NEW SCHOOL DAY TIMES FOR 21/22 – With our new campus structure next year due to the construction of the K-6 campus, the beginning and ending times of the school day will be slightly different in order to accommodate families with students at multiple campuses. Please refer to the top of the 21/22 school calendar (link above) for campus-specific times.

NEW BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE TIMES FOR 21/22 – Before school care will continue to be available starting at 6:30 a.m., and after school care will end at 5:30 p.m. starting in the 21/22 school year. Before & after school care will continue to be available at the Preschool Campus for students in grades Preschool & Pre-K, and at the new Elementary Campus for students in grades K-8. Students in 7th & 8th grade may ride the bus to the Elementary Campus, and a new bus form needs to be completed each year.

NEW SIBLING ENROLLMENT - If you are enrolling a sibling as a new student at ECS, we strongly encourage you to submit an online application during a priority window for ECS families before we open enrollment to new families. As our school has grown over the years, we often have waiting lists for specific grades, so it is in your best interest to enroll new siblings during the priority window.
You may submit the online application at any time (no deadline), but your priority window is from now until January 18th. After January 18th, enrollment will be open to new families and spots may fill quickly.
The online application for 2021/22 is NOW available when you login to the FACTS Family Portal in the blue menu on the left under “Apply/Enroll”, or you can visit our website under the Admissions Menu to start an application.
For currently enrolled ECS families, the $50 application fee will be waived. After you start the new student application online, please email admissions@evansvillechristian.org to ask for your fee to be waived before you submit the completed application.

21/22 BUS TRANSPORTATION FORM - If your student rides the bus, you need to complete a new bus form for every new school year. With our new campus structure, our bus routes are being modified. Please refer to the 21/22 bus form at the link below for the revised routes, and the form is also available in campus offices and on FACTS under School Resources. Please submit a 21/22 bus form before the deadline of June 1st, as those options do not carry over from year-to-year. The space on the bus is limited, so submit a form as soon as possible.

21/22 WITHDRAW OPTION - If your family’s plans have changed for 21/22 and you would like to withdraw your student, please contact Nerissa Foor in the Business Office to be provided with an online link to the Withdraw Notification Form. Forms should be submitted by/on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, for the annual commitment fee to not be charged to your account. If you decide to re-enroll at a later date, the $200 commitment fee must be paid and your child’s ability to re-enroll will depend on available space.

REPORT CARDS FOR 2ND QUARTER - Report cards will go home with students next Friday, January 15th.
|
|
LATE FEES - The Business Department will begin charging late fees in January 2021. Remember the full statement amount is due on the 1st of the following month. A grace period is given until the 10th. Afterward, a $20 late fee will be charged.

2020 ANNUAL PAYMENT SUMMARY - Your ECS Family Payment Summary for 2020 will be available by email to all current families by the end of January. The link will be good for two weeks, so be sure to print it out for your records. After the link expires in two weeks, a $10 fee will be charged for a new link. This serves as tax return documentation for 2020 Before/After Care and/or the 2020 Indiana State tax deduction for tuition.

* We are continuing with our sponsored monthly luncheons for the staff and looking for sponsors for January, February, March and May. (Due to Staff appreciation week being in April, we are skipping that month.)
* The PTF officers' 2-year term will come to an end this school year, and we are actively searching for the next team to take our place! Let us know if you are interested in the position of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
* We plan on having Staff Appreciation Week in April this year. We are waiting to confirm the dates and see what our limits are. We look forward to working with you to show the staff how amazing they are!! They are the REAL MVP'S!!!!
