Come and explore the world of literature at the Friends of the Bismarck Public Library’s highly anticipated Fall Used Book Sale from October 3rd through the 5th! Discover hidden gems and fill your shelves with a diverse collection of reads, all priced at just $1.00 per pound. You can also indulge your passion for separately priced music and movies with a wide selection of CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, and more. On Saturday, take advantage of the fantastic deal where you can fill a bag with any items for just $3.00. 

New Window Covers


Take a stroll around the exterior of the library building on your next visit! Newly added window covers add to the ambiance of the library building and grounds. Classic book covers adorn Avenue A windows, and a library-themed narrative promoting BVMPL's message "You Belong Here" can be found around the building along the Sixth Avenue and Avenue B windows. 

Coming soon due to popular demand...ghost hunting kits! Stay tuned for more information. 

October is Star Wars Reads Month

Join friends by reading from the vast collection of literature in the Star Wars universe we have at the library. Says Yoda, "Celebrate you can. Prizes out of this world, complete the challenge, and receive. This Galactic Challenge on the Beanstack app today, join! Read, and with you The Force will be!"

Teen Headquarters (HQ)

Teen HQ (Headquarters) is your out-of-school relaxation and research headquarters, designed with your needs in mind. Feel free to drop by and browse our ever-expanding teen library, which features books, video games, and magazines. HQ is open for walk-in use by teens in grades 6 through 12 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday, during the school year unless otherwise noted in the library calendar.
