Dear Parents/Guardians of the Aristoi Class of 2027,

In past years, as an inauguration into the School of Rhetoric, Aristoi Classical Academy has prepared freshmen to live out the virtues they are learning on campus through a field trip to The Brookwood Community, a non-profit residential and vocational community for adults with disabilities. I am excited to announce that your student will have the opportunity this semester to participate in this Freshmen Serve Day. Aristoi faculty and staff will chaperone the 9A and 9C homerooms on October 11th and the 9B and 9D homerooms on October 12th as students build relationships and work alongside the residents of Brookwood in their vocations.

Your student will bring home a permission slip on Friday, September 22nd that includes the date of their trip. All students will travel to Brookwood on buses provided by Aristoi Classical Academy. There is no cost for the Serve Day, but students will need to bring a sack lunch from home or purchase one from Aristoi’s Child Nutrition Department. You also will receive an email to sign up for a sack lunch on Friday, September 22nd. Students should turn in their field trip permission slips to their homeroom teacher no later than Tuesday, October 3rd.

We look forward to continuing this rich tradition of encouraging our students to take personal responsibility for the good through our Freshmen Serve Day. Please reach out to me or my assistant, Kelly Miller at kmiller@aristoiclassical.org if you have any questions.

Warm Regards,

Kathryn Locheed
