It was a sunny day in Oakland at the Alameda County Community Food Bank, where East Bay EDA hosted its Food Bank Volunteer Day on July 10. What started as an invitation to join PG&E at the beginning of the year to give back grew into an official summer volunteer event engaging our community partners, members, and sponsors. Join the San Francisco Business Times on August 7 for Bay Area Housing for All, an engaging conversation with business, government, nonprofit, and community leaders on the practical realities and big ambitions at play. Housing is a critical human need that drives the economy and underpins workforce development, but affordable homes remain scarce in the Bay Area.

West Oakland Walking Tour

There's still time to join us for our West Oakland Walking Tour on August 7, presented by Kaiser Permanente. The tour, led by Dave Peters – Black Liberation Walking Tour, West Oakland Cultural Action Network, will include neighborhood history, culture, and more.
