FinTech Fit-Up at the University of Delaware

State-of-the-Art Spaces

Wallworks Commercial Carpentry provided interior carpentry work for the fit-out of approximately 52,000 square feet of the newly constructed FinTech Innovation Hub at Delaware Technology Park located on UD’s STAR Campus.

The FinTech fit-out provides additional space for the University’s Lerner College of Business and Economics, as well as the College of Engineering.

Quality Control in State-of-the-Art Design

The simplicity and streamlined look of high-tech spaces with state-of-the-art design demands precision and requires higher craftsmanship to create both aesthetically pleasing and functionally efficient spaces.

Wallworks’ craftsmen play a critical role in this construction, emphasizing precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality execution.

Achieving precise shapes with clean lines and sharp edges demands skilled carpentry craftsmanship. Our craftsmen ensure that corners and edges are perfectly aligned and finished, contributing to the overall polished appearance of high-tech interiors.

Additionally, many state-of-the-art commercial interiors minimize decorative elements to focus on essential features. With fewer distractions, any imperfections become noticeable. Higher craftsmanship is necessary to execute a clean and flawless design, maintaining the minimalist aesthetic.

“By implementing rigorous quality control measures, Wallworks achieved the level of precision, functionality, and aesthetic appeal required in this high tech and modern facility. They were able to accomplish the high quality while still maintaining the tight project timeline for an on time delivery to the client”

Larry Warner, Senior Project Manager, IMC Construction

Attention to Detail:

The simplicity of this type of design underscores the importance of every detail. Our craftsmen are trained to pay close attention to joints, seams, corners and transitions, ensuring a cohesive and polished look throughout the interior space.

Irregularities during the drywall construction and finishing process can occur, and unsatisfactory results often show up in the areas over joints or beadwork. Improper application of either the board, joint treatment, or bead may be at fault, so this is an area of work that we inspect carefully.
