Welcome to the November 2020 edition of the Fire Replicas newsletter. As always, I hope this finds you healthy and doing well. It seems quite insignificant to update you on the status of Fire Replicas during this week...arguably the most critical for our nation in recent times. But thankfully, we have many loyal customers who look forward to this newsletter...so it is our pleasure to run down the highlights of what is happening in the world of museum grade scale models in Tennessee.
Anyone with experience in logistics knows that 2020 is one for the record books. We've experienced the full gamut of possibilities...from huge border patrol penalties for hazardous European wood pallets, a nationwide rail car shortage, 2 week delays, inspections, early arrivals, US Postal Service lost packaged, etc. So one thing is for certain, there is nothing for certain except the need to develop more patience in these current times. That said, the FDNY ALF/Chicago Mack L shipment has finally arrived after a 2 week delay in LA, and the FDNY Seagrave Squads/Autocar Semis are arriving on Tuesday...a week early! Thank you all for your patience this year.
