Member News & Awards

LeMessurier has been recognized as a Structural Engineering Excellence (SEE) Award Finalist for the Massachusetts project, 400 Summer Street. See project summary below.

SEAMASS Sponsors Arup, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, and WSP also earned recognition as finalists for their projects around the U.S.

Presented annually by NCSEA, SEE Awards recognize innovative and creative achievements in structural engineering, and honor projects that showcase ingenuity, technical skill, and groundbreaking design in the field.

Pictured LeMessurier Project: 400 Summer Street Boston MA

SEE Award Category: Landmark Structures

400 Summer Street in the Seaport District of Boston, is a landmark development designed to rise above the complex underground infrastructure of the Central Artery Tunnel. Originally intended to support a five-story building, plans for the site were reimagined decades later as a high-rise tower that would require an extraordinary feat of structural engineering to realize. The structural team designed an inventive combination of systems to both prevent this 630,000 square foot tower from overloading the existing infrastructure and keep the asymmetric building structure plumb as it was erected.

Michael Fillion, PE, Chair of the NCSEA Existing Buildings Committee, will co-present a session titled, Code Crafters: Shaping the Code Together with an expert panel of Code Advisory Committee members at the 2025 NCSEA Summit.

The interactive workshop will encourage participants to directly engage with the code development process; provide guidance on how to develop and submit code change proposals; and offer insight into current and active code change proposals for key building code documents like the International Existing Building Code (IEBC).

NCSEA Benchmarking Studies: YOUR Opportunity to

Be Part of the Data that Drives the Profession

NCSEA is leading the charge in capturing the full picture of today’s structural engineering profession. To do that, we’re asking engineers like you to participate in two important surveys. Together, these studies combine data and perspective to create resources that strengthen firms, support individuals, and guide the profession forward.

Designed to support both firms and individuals, the study allows users to benchmark salaries, bonuses, and PTO; filter results to tailor searches; and visualize workplace trends that inform business growth and career decisions. This is one of the most comprehensive resources NCSEA has produced on compensation and benefits, offering continuously updated data to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Your input powers an interactive, continuously updated tool designed to support compensation negotiations, benefit selection, and business decisions. Participants will receive a significant discount on the final report.
