The Sakura Project – A Moment to Share and Remember 🌸
Hi everyone 🌸
We wanted to reach out with gratitude.
For those who have RSVP’d for the Sakura Project this Saturday, May 2nd, 10:30 to 11:15 am — thank you so much. It truly means a lot to be able to share this time together.
And for those who joined us for Aaron Tang’s Celebration of Life last December, we carry that moment with us. Although this gathering is inspired by that gathering, it is meant to open gently for anyone who wishes to remember someone meaningful in their own lives.
📍 Where we’ll meet
We’ll be on the Grass area between the side of the cherry trees pathway and the lakeside. This is a pet friendly area!
🌿 What to expect
This is a very open and relaxed space. There’s no formal structure and no obligation to participate in anything. You’re welcome to simply come as you are—say hello, share a hug, spend quiet time, or just be present in your own way.
💧 Water tablet (optional)
We’ll have a small “water tablet” available on a stool where you can write a name or message in honour of someone you wish to remember. The water ink softly fades, reflecting the Japanese concept of mono no aware—the quiet beauty of moments and things that pass.
🌸 Optional movement
If the moment feels right, we may also share some gentle danceFLOW (qigong/taichi-inspired movement) with music—a simple way to move, breathe, and be together. Completely optional.
📷 Photos / sharing (optional)
If you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to share stories or allow us to capture a few moments through photos or video. This is entirely optional—just what feels right for you.
This gathering is not only about the blossoms at their peak, but also about appreciating the “after bloom”—the beauty in what changes, settles, and continues in its own way.
If you feel called to join, we would be grateful to share this moment with you. And if something has changed and you’re unable to come, that’s completely okay—we hold that with understanding. 🌸
