Addressing the Emergency Medicine Workforce Issue
Dear FCEP Member,

On April 9, 2021, ACEP and national partner organizations (ABEM, ACEP, AOBEM, ACOEP, CORD, EMRA, SAEM) hosted a webinar to present findings from the Emergency Medicine Physician Workforce: Projections for 2030 research – a two-year collaborative project that analyzed the current and projected supply and demand for emergency care in the U.S.

The soon-to-be-published data reveals that, for the first time in history, we are facing a projected oversupply of 6,000-10,000 emergency physicians nationally over the next decade if we do nothing to mitigate current trends now.
