Workshop and Panel on Contemporary Issues of Democracy and Education
DWIH New York, together with the University of Cologne's New York Office, is hosting a student workshop and public panel on March 10th at the German House, New York.
The public panel is open to all and the student workshop is open to students in the fields of Social Sciences, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, German Studies, Modern Languages and European Studies.

RISE Scholar and DAAD-Alumnus Phong Hong on the Impact of his Time in Germany
This year's winner of the Alumniportal-Deutschland video contest is Phong Hong. Phong's family left Vietnam as refugees to the US and elsewhere in the world; in his video, he draws connections to his past, present, and future work as a social justice and human rights activist, drawing links between his time in Germany working with refugees and his continued work back in California. Congratulations, Phong!
