Fair Day Holiday

All TPSS Offices and Schools will be closed Friday, October 2, 2026 so that families can enjoy the Tangipahoa Parish Fair.

JEAN DAY

Monday, October 5, 2026
Mary Bird Perkins and St. Jude Charity

On Dollar Jean Days, students and staff may wear jeans by making a $1 donation to our charity of choice. Appropriate jeans are required, with no holes, rips, sagging, or inappropriate writing or images. Jeans may be paired with the school uniform or school spirit shirt.

Every dollar raised directly supports cancer patients and pediatric research. Thank you for your support, Tangipahoa Parish families!

Attendance Matters

If your family ever needs support or resources to help overcome obstacles to regular attendance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school attendance designee.

We have an Action Plan for School Absences!

Absences happen. When they do, be sure to turn in an excuse.

Parents may provide up to 5 parent-written excuses per semester. If a student is ill for multiple consecutive days, the entire period should be counted as one single excuse. Three or more consecutive days absent requires a medical excuse from a doctor.

Important Law Regarding Marijuana in Schools

Under a new Louisiana law, possessing or using marijuana or THC vape pens on school property, buses, or within 2,000 feet of a school is now a felony punishable by up to a year in prison. Because these severe criminal charges are entirely separate from school suspension or expulsion, parents are strongly encouraged to talk with their children to help them avoid life-altering legal consequences.
