The Town is replacing approximately 300 metres of watermain along Seacrest Place, beginning at the bottom of the hill and extending west. The existing 100 mm asbestos cement (AC) watermain will be replaced with a new 200 mm PVC watermain, and three new hydrants will be installed to improve fire flow.
This project is part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to replace aging AC watermains throughout the community, with replacement work previously completed in several areas, including Quatna Road, Highway 19A, Illiqua Road, Hemlock Street and the hill along Seacrest Place.
This ongoing investment helps improve the reliability and resilience of the Town’s water system.
Dates: October 1 to November 12, 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm
Traffic Impact: Single-lane alternating traffic at the work site for the duration of the project
