Dear LCH Friends,
As we turn to fall routines, self-care is so important. Now is the time to make sure that your annual check-ups and immunizations are current and up-to-date. Our care teams at each of our three facilities are ready to provide high quality healthcare and social services to all.
At this time, LCH is not administering COVID-19 Pfizer booster shots. Pfizer booster shots are available at the Chester County Health Department and local pharmacies for those who qualify. For those who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19, vaccines are available at LCH, along with the health department and local pharmacies. Please stay connected on our COVID-19 website page and Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
In good health,
Chief Executive Officer

Dental Care Team Brings a Smile to Esther
|
Esther is a young Amish woman who had seriously problematic teeth. She was in chronic pain, and she would not smile because she was so self-conscious. When she finally learned about the affordable dental services at LCH, she made an appointment. Her first appointment turned into several, as LCH’s caring dental team addressed her dental health, step-by-step, until her teeth looked and felt much better.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
|
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Rock your purple, snap some photos of the purple ribbons you will start to see in town, and tag @LCHcommunityhealth and @DVCCCPA to help raise awareness in celebration of the survivors of domestic violence. Help is here, and together, we can educate and empower our community to help end domestic violence. LCH is proud to partner with the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County in connecting community members who are experiencing domestic violence with the resources and support. Check out our YouTube playlist of education videos on domestic violence in English and in Spanish.

Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month (Wednesday, September 15th – Friday, October 15th). It is a time to celebrate the many members of our community from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America: we recognize and are so grateful for the incredible histories, cultures, and contributions to southern Chester County and beyond.

Annual Coat Distribution is October 22nd
|
Help the children in our community stay warm and healthy by supporting our annual coat distribution with Concordville Nissan and Subaru's Driving Away the Cold program that gives new coats to kids. All are welcome to stop by our West Grove location on Friday, October 22nd. Because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are limiting the number of people in our facility at one time and ask that only one adult come to pick up coats for the family. While we typically have many different sizes and options, they are first come, first serve. Want to get involved? Contact Norma about volunteer opportunities, and contact Amanda about in-kind donations of new coats and gift cards.

In addition to providing help with health insurance enrollment, applications, and information and referral, The LCH Social Assistance team can help connect community remembers with the resources and support that are needed for recovery from the hurricane. Caseworkers are available in person or via phone at all three of our locations in Kennett Square, West Grove, and Oxford each week. Call us at (610) 444-7550 option 8.

Temperature Checks Return to LCH
|
All three of our facilities have gone back to checking temperatures at the door. And remember: every person who comes in to an LCH facility will be asked to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose upon arrival. We also ask that you please come alone to your appointment when possible in order to minimize the number of people in our waiting rooms. The safety of our patients and our staff is our priority. Thank you for your understanding as we continue the fight against COVID-19.

The COVID-19 vaccine is making a difference in protecting our community. Don't wait! Get your COVID-19 vaccine today.
