The Women’s Heart Health Check‑In Every February Should Include

February is Heart Health Month, and it is one of the most important times of the year to check in with your body. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women, with cardiovascular diseases claiming more lives than all cancers and accidents combined. Yet many early symptoms look different in women and are often mistaken for stress, fatigue, or hormonal changes.

This month, we encourage you to pause and pay attention to what your heart may be telling you. Subtle signs like unusual tiredness, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, or discomfort in the back, jaw, or shoulders can all be early indicators that deserve attention.

Your heart health is shaped by every stage of your life — pregnancy, hormones, stress, menopause, and even autoimmune conditions. Understanding these connections can help you protect your long‑term wellbeing.

If you want to learn more about the unique ways heart health shows up in women and the steps you can take to support your cardiovascular wellness this year, continue reading below.
