What's Changing at Sun Valley Bridge
Jo & Chuck to Move to Arizona;
Bridge Games Will Continue
We are moving to Green Valley, Arizona in January. As much as we will miss all our friends in Sun Valley, it's time to leave Idaho winters. We are no longer skiing, so there's no longer a reason to live with snow.

Our Wednesday and Sunday online games, as well as our online lessons, will continue. Jim Churchill will direct the Friday face-to-face games, which will now be under the auspices of Wood River Bridge.

We are saying good-by virtually, even though a friend generously offered to host a going-away party. As much as we hate leaving without seeing all of you in Sun Valley, we would hate it even more if a party inadvertently turned into a super-spreader event. We'll be back when the Covid risk is lower and look forward to getting together with everyone in person.

Think BOLDO!
We thank online bridge student Kate Wilson Washburn, who has homes in California and Sun Valley, for BOLDO, her acronym for remembering what to consider when the dummy comes down.

B = Bidding
OL = Opening Lead
DO = Is there a dangerous opponent?

We asked Kate for a photo but she said she's camera-shy. She offered this photo of a Boldo Booby instead.
Meet VanBonnie
Jo and Chuck were recently in Vancouver, Washington, and met online student Bonnie Larson (BBO; VanBonnie), a regular in our Monday morning online classes, in person for the first time.

From left are Chuck, Jo, Bonnie and her husband, Jerry.
Changes in Friday Games Start Jan. 7
Friday face-to-face games with a slightly changed format will start Jan. 7. They will be under the auspices of Wood River Bridge. Jim Churchill will be the primary director.

The format will be similar to the pre-pandemic structure at Sun Valley Bridge. Both players in a pair must have fewer than 750 masterpoints to be eligible to place. Players who exceed this masterpoint limit are encouraged to mentor others, and neither person in the pair will be eligible for masterpoints.
